December 15 Gathering

Hi everyone!
We'll be meeting at the Geels this Thursday at 6pm (327 NE 18th Ave, Hillsboro). The meal will be soup/chili and here's what we need to make it happen. Please let us know what you'll contribute in the comments.
- Soup or chili (need two families for this)
- Salad
- Bread
- Dessert
- Drinks
ALSO, the Director of the Family Room at Colossae has let us know of a need for Christmas sponsorships for many of the families that are served. Each community group will be putting together a gift basket for this. Baskets can include non-perishable food items, gift cards for groceries, and cards of encouragement. We want these families to feel loved and blessed during this season.
***If you are able to contribute please bring cards, food items and/or money to go towards a grocery gift card to Lindsey by Sunday, Dec 18.

(Something to note… when writing cards of encouragement, remember that these are parents who have been separated from their children by the State of Oregon. They are good people, who have likely made poor decisions along the way. They are also making every effort to be reunited with their children. Notes need to refrain from addressing the separation. Things like “We hope you and your family are doing well!” and “We support you!” are totally fine. Just not “Sorry that you have been separated from your child.”)
